Who is responsible

Controller and contact details

Fire Safety Services is the name used by the operator of this website and is the controller for personal information collected directly through it. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent through the contact page by selecting “Privacy or data request”.

A provider receiving an enquiry normally becomes a separate controller for its own quotation, communications and service records. Its privacy notice and contact details should explain that processing.

Recipients and transfers

Who receives personal information

Netlify hosts the site and processes form submissions for the operator. Resend supports transactional email delivery. Where a telephone number is supplied with an enquiry, that number alone may be sent to IPQualityScore to assess validity, active-line status, carrier information and fraud-risk signals; the lookup does not prove that the visitor owns the number. An enquiry may also be shared with a connected or independent fire-safety provider able to respond.

Netlify, Resend, IPQualityScore and some other suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where restricted transfers apply, appropriate safeguards such as recognised adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards are used by the relevant service provider.

  • Only the telephone number is sent for the IPQualityScore lookup, not the submitted name, email, address or enquiry message
  • Providers receive information relevant to the requested service
  • Authorities may receive information where disclosure is legally required
  • Professional advisers may receive information for a dispute or compliance issue
  • We do not publish enquiry submissions or provide them to an unrestricted bidder list

Storage period

How long information is kept

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, legal obligations and potential disputes. Enquiries that do not progress are normally deleted or anonymised within 12 months of the last meaningful contact. Referral, complaint, financial or contractual records may be retained for up to six years where needed.

Hosting security logs, backups and spam records follow the service provider’s operational schedules. When deletion is requested, residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups before expiry.

Your choices

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use. Rights are not absolute and we will explain any lawful limitation.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Use the contact page to make a request. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if concerns remain unresolved.

  • State that the request concerns privacy
  • Give the email or telephone number used in the enquiry
  • Describe the information or right involved
  • Do not send identity documents unless requested securely
